POSTDOC

Helle Bogetofte, Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, University of Southern Denmark, has been awarded a postdoc research grant from Lundbeck Foundation worth DKK 2,596,900.

Her project focuses on Parkinson’s disease. With the help of stem cell technology, she will reproduce in a laboratory the type of nerve cells affected by sporadic Parkinson’s, where the disease appears as the result of an as yet unidentified combination of environmental and genetic risk factors.

The project will be conducted in collaboration with the Oxford Parkinson’s Disease Centre in the UK.
