Lyme neuroborreliosis: Studies on pathogenesis, clinical aspects and new diagnostic methods

Consultant, associate professor, Department of Infectious Diseases, Rigshospitalet, University of Copenhagen, has received a Lundbeck Foundation Ascending Investigators research grant worth DKK 4,985,000.

Her project concerns the study of Lyme borreliosis. This is the most prevalent tick-borne infection in humans, and in Denmark is typically the result of a tick bite. Analyses of data from 3,000 patients should provide new knowledge to improve both diagnostic methods and patient therapeutics.
