Mike Barnkob, MD, Clinical Immunology Research Unit, University of Southern Denmark, has been awarded a postdoc research grant from Lundbeck Foundation worth DKK 2,600,551.
His project works with immunotherapy against blood cancer. The aim is to reprogramme patients’ own immune cells to fight the cancer cells – in the short term as well as in the long term, where they would serve as long-acting medicine. The project includes a one-year study sojourn in the UK at the University of Oxford.
