Press Release

Changes to the Lundbeck Foundation’s management team

Bertil From CFO LF

Bertil From - CFO, the Lundbeck Foundation.

CFO Bertil From will be starting a new chapter in his career when he leaves the Lundbeck Foundation by mid-2023 – after 16 years as CFO and head of the Foundation’s financial investments. The Foundation is therefore instituting some organisational changes, starting with appointing Søren Christiansen as Senior Vice President, Finance, and new member of the Foundation’s management team.

By no later than summer 2023, the Lundbeck Foundation will be bidding farewell to Bertil From, who has been head of the Foundation’s considerable financial investments and the Finance Department for many years. In that position, he has made a significant contribution to the Foundation’s strong growth and financial performance, ensuring in 2021 the best financial result in the history of the Foundation. Bertil From, who holds an MSc in Economics, came to the Lundbeck Foundation in 2006 after many years with Danske Bank and Danmarks Nationalbank.

The Foundation has appointed Søren Christiansen as Senior Vice President of Finance. Christiansen, a state-authorised public accountant, joined the Foundation in 2017 after a long career in the auditing and accounting sector, where he was, among other things, a partner at EY. With the Foundation, Christiansen has been Vice President of Finance, HR and IT, and will now be part of the Foundation’s management team as Senior Vice President, Finance.

‘e’re sorry that Bertil has chosen to move on. It’s a big loss for the Foundation, and he leaves behind some big shoes to fill. At the same time, I’m delighted with the strong new profiles ready to take over, and I’m very much looking forward to Søren Christiansen joining the Foundation’s management team. The Foundation has grown, and our ambitions are high. This calls for regular adjustments to the Foundation’s organisation. And throughout the autumn and into 2023, we will be implementing a range of initiatives and changes in line with our strategy and activities,’ says Lene Skole, CEO of the Lundbeck Foundation.
