The Prize may be awarded to one or more scientists who have distinguished themselves through outstanding contributions to any field of neuroscience, from fundamental studies to research related to understanding and treatment of diseases of the brain and other parts of the nervous system.
Nomination criteria
Call for Nominations, Deadlines and How to Nominate
The nomination window usually opens in May. The call for nominations will be announced on this website, on Twitter @BrainPrize, in leading scientific journals, and various neuroscience society websites and newsletters. The deadline for nominations is usually in September for the award of The Brain Prize in the following year.
A nomination must include the nominee’s full name and field of research as well as the justification for the nomination based on a selected list of the nominee’s publications. Nominations must be made online here.
Feel free to encourage others who might be prepared to nominate, and The Lundbeck Foundation encourages diversity in nominations.
