LF Experiment

The purpose of this grant instrument is to support extraordinary research ideas that challenge the norms and prevailing ideas within its field of research. We are seeking unique, high-risk ideas which may have a limited chance of succeeding but which have great potential to transform our understanding of an important research field if they do.

With this call, we invite applicants to submit proposals from any research field with potential benefit for the advancement of neuroscience and/or therapies for nervous system disorders. The term ‘neuroscience’ is used here in its broadest sense, including medical, technical, natural and social sciences as well as humanities.

Applicants must hold a PhD or similar degree and can apply for up to DKK 2 million for a period of up to two years.

LF Collaborative Projects

The purpose of Lundbeck Foundation Collaborative Projects is to develop and support the Danish research environment within neuroscience. We welcome you to propose scientific issues which can only be resolved through integrated, interdisciplinary and collaborative efforts. With this programme we aim to create synergy between neuroscience and other research fields or between different subfields of neuroscience.  The ambition is to foster collaborations that will significantly impact neuroscience and have potential implications for human health. The grants are intended to add significant value to the existing research environments.

The research should be related to basic or clinical neuroscience, or science with clear relevance to neuroscience. The term ‘neuroscience’ is used here in its broadest sense, and thus includes medical, technical, natural and social sciences as well as humanities. In rare cases, and only after dialogue with the applicant, the Foundation will accept applications from outside the field of neuroscience.

You can apply for up to DKK 60 million for a period of five years.
