Social Responsibility and Transparency

The Lundbeck Foundation feels a shared responsibility for society.

This is reflected in what we work for and in how we work. It is a natural consequence of being an engaged owner of major companies and provider of grants worth more than DKK 500 million a year for Danish-based biomedical sciences research.

As one of Denmark's largest enterprise foundations, we wish to lead the way with our openness and transparency. This means that we are open about our goals, how we work, our agendas and how we make decisions.

The Lundbeck Foundation has signed the UN Global Compact, the world’s largest, voluntary initiative for responsible companies, covering issues such as human rights, environment, anti-corruption and labour. The UN Global Compact provides a common framework for companies’ progress and commitment in terms of responsible corporate governance.

The Lundbeck Foundation is required to report to the UN Global Compact on its activities, to comply with and raise awareness of responsible business principles. You can read the Lundbeck Foundation's Communication on Engagement here.
