Lundbeckfonden is headquartered at Scherfigsvej 7 in the Svanemølle bay between Copenhagen’s Østerbro and Hellerup.
The headquarters were designed by Lars Gitz Architects (www.larsgitz.com) and create a light and contemporary setting for the foundation’s staff of around 30.
The building was originally erected in 2005 to house the administrative division of the World Health Organisation, whose European headquarters were situated at the end of Scherfigsvej for many years. However, at the beginning of 2013, WHO moved to UN City in Copenhagen’s Nordhavn, collecting all of the UN-related organisations in one location.
Lundbeckfonden moved in at the end of 2013 after extensive modernisation and alterations.
